Well… here is that age old question again… what do you do at SHIFT:STUDY? SHIFT//YOUNG ADULTS meets every Friday night at 9 PM, and we work on an alternating schedule. So one week is SHIFT:STUDY and the next is a SHIFT//YOUNG ADULTS event, and we rotate like that back and forth.
When it comes to a SHIFT:STUDY it looks just like this:
9.00 PM – 9.59 PMish – We just hang out, eat food, and get to know each other a little better!
10.00 PM – 10.20 PMish – We settle in and join together in Worship – usually acoustic guitar or piano based we just take some time to “PRAISE THE LORD!”
10.21 PMish – 10.50PMish – We get out our Bibles – read ‘em, study ‘em, and dig into ‘em AND THEN we TALK and TALK and TALK about the things we have read and learned as we follow the SHIFT:STUDY blog and read some scripture that night! Because we all know that when we talk about something and FLESH it out things start to come alive, and we can apply those once ABSTRACT concepts to our lives!
10.51 PM – 11.15 PMish - PRAYER – simple as that – we talk to GOD – we are INTENTIONAL and SPECIFIC and TO THE POINT
and from 11.16 PM and beyond… who knows where it goes from there!
